How miss cheesecake started

In 2023, Pooja Balani from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, was working in a marketing job that she did not enjoy, so she decided to quit. Amidst this, her family was pressuring her to get married. During a trip to Jaipur, she tried a cheesecake and loved it; she realized that such cheesecake was not easily available in Jodhpur—or if it was, it was found only in high-end hotels and was quite expensive.

The idea was to make this cheesecake for the people of Jodhpur, but since they didn’t know how to make it, they watched several YouTube videos and learned the process from baking books. Having mastered the recipe, the next challenge was how to sell it; amidst this, they first had their family try the cheesecake, and they loved it.

Around that time, an exhibition was scheduled to be held in Jodhpur, and she devised a plan to set up a stall there through some resourceful improvisation. She used ₹5,000 from her savings to buy supplies and intended to make and sell cheesecakes; however, the path ahead was not easy. Amidst this, her friend Narpat stepped in to support her, and together they set up the stall at the exhibition and began selling cheesecakes. Miss Cheesecake Startup
