Musk has directly questioned India’s telecom power over the delay in licensing his Starlink, which provides satellite internet in India.
The matter is such that in his previous tweet, Musk, without naming anyone, accused the oligarch of blocking the launch of Starlink in India and then after some time, while replying to a tweet of an X user, he directly questioned Mukesh Ambani.

What response did the Indian government give to Musk?
The Indian government responded immediately to Musk’s accusation. The Ministry of Communications said in a statement on October 8 that India’s satellite communications regulatory framework is fair and non-discriminatory. The government stated that Licenses have been given to three satellite communication companies and all three have to fulfill security related conditions.
According to the government, the security assessment of these three companies is currently underway and all three are currently at almost the same regulatory stage.Only after the security process is completed can the company proceed to the next stage of spectrum assignment. Therefore, the government has dismissed as baseless the allegation that the rules are being used to discriminate against any company.
